Help! What is wrong with this binding?

Okay so I added a spektrum satellite to the betafpv toothpick board with 5v gnd and rx1. When I try to bind in betaflight it says Error unknown command, try help. Can anyone figure this out? Thanks.

All my older Spektrum power at 3.3v. Newer one is 3.3v to 8.4v (SRXL2 - and I think it wires to TX not RX?).

I also don't have a 3.3 on the board just 5v.
