What jet would you want to see FT make?

Here is another problem with EDF jets. That is, the large area you need to possible fly them. This F-86 was a slippery jet (12 bladed 70mm EDF) that was given to me because whoever designed it really reduced the drag and he could not handled it. Speed was about 85-90 mph.

The takeoffs had to be on the runway(it was so lightweight) and grass clumps would cause it to jump in the air early, and landings, it would float and float. Watch the landing when I called it, it was about 200+ ft up in the air and about 800-900ft to my left upwind of me when I shut the engine off. It floats and floats, so timing is very important. Other jets, you need to idle up speed to make the landing.

So you need lots of EDF time getting the feel and how it reacts, so you can land it and not repair it or throw it in the trash barrel.


My suggestion for a EDF foamy is a home built F-86 to get experience.
