What kit would you like to see get an update?

As the title says "What kit would you like to see get an update?"

I'm bored at work and browsing the FT store as one tends to do and the thought occurred to me. I never owned an OG Scout XL but based on what I've seen the new Super Scout XL (of which I own, waiting to be built) there was some massive improvements. I'm personally a big fan of 1930s to 1940s Racers, particularly the DH88, therefore always been very drawn to the FT Cruiser and I'd love to see it get a similar treatment. Maybe scaled up to an XL, more organic shaped sections like the Tubby, removable wings like the Super Scout XL, improved landing gear etc.

What say you?

Storch! The nose of the early designs was a single layer of foam and didn’t hold up to much. Or improve the landing gear on the Scout and Cub. The original tab design didn’t last long and I’ve done many long marches in the field, looking for my landing gear which became an unintentional bomb drop. 😂 All the more recent designs are much better!

The FT Dart was very short lived as a kit. I bought one of the original kits and used 3D printed motor pods and sourced my own electronics. (1106 motors, 2.5g digital servos, Matek PDB, ELRS, Aura5) This thing was an absolute hoot to fly AND sub 250g to boot. I was told it was cancelled due to the ?-pack electronics no longer being available. The plans are available, and I have cut my own replacement build. Plan to throw and FT Aura in it and play with the launch/catch modes. The motors I have are VTOL/tailsitter capable.

The Tiny Twig build video mentioned that many kits will soon be upgraded to the new 3D printed landing gear, I'm definitely waiting for that to build a Turbo Tutor!

I'd like the see the rocket balloon in the Battle Blimp kit get upgraded to a traditional blimp shape with some Goodyear-inspired blue & yellow Flite Test livery.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Tutor and I learned to fly on it. I have an unbuilt kit and Turbo wing as well to build into a STOL plane. I've decided I'm gonna design some 3D printed bush gear and incorporate some flaps as well as overpower the bejeezus out of it as an updated version of the FT Bushwacker. When I finally get around to designing the gear and test it out I'll absolutely be posting it here.

Awesome, please do! I'm really wanting to build a float plane with a '70s -inspired beige/brown/orange paint scheme. There's a nice deal on a Turbo Tutor bundle on the website, but I'm not sure which motor is included. I've got time to figure it out - plenty of stuff on my workbench already!

Yeah I have a decent little backlog going myself. Tutor, Guinea Pig, Super Scout XL and haven't finished my Tubby B17 yet either.

Don't forget some version of olive green in that color scheme. Recall all the kitchen appliances done in that color. (Shudder)

Avocado! Beats the hell out of all the grey/white interiors we have now. They all look like European prison cells. I actually thought of doing a light green/medium green/white paint scheme as well. I think FMS sells a Cessna done up like that.

How do you know about EU prison cells? Lived in a whole color coordinated house in olive back in '67 when it was the "IT" color. Wasn't considered weird or even abnormal then, but was hard to sell 20 years later
