What Props?

I have been using these props on my tricopters for a while now:

Absolutely love them. They're strong and very crash resistant and seem to hold their shape well. I have some home made prop savers and use "hair bobbles" (the elasticated things ladies use to keep their hair in place - not sure what you call them in the USA!) to hold them down.

Sadly though, I can't find them in reverse. I want to build a quad to see how they handle. Would be great if I couold just get some right-hand versions of these.

Any ideas? Recommendations?

Hi,

Watching as I've been using GWS 1147 props but am considering putting one motor in opposite rotation to keep the platform more level.

The double tri (tri-square?) looks interesting; does rotating the whole tail arm make issues? I imagine that there would be a lot of force on the tilt mechanism.

My three motor tri happily lifts a gopro and a 3S2200 pack. Plenty of power to spare in the DT750s.

In the end I couldn't find any suitable RH rotation versions of the props I linked in my first post. A friend recommended some 11 x 4.7 ones which I've ordered. Flew his quad last night and they performed very well.

Tilting the whole tail works really well. Means that the weight of the servo and bearings is in the centre rather than out at the back, which in turn means better manoeuvrability.

My weight problems are down to using relatively heavy aluminium square tube and aluminium plate for the frame. Partly because I had some handy and partly because I crash a lot! When I first started it used to lift really well, but over the past few months I think my batteries have started to fade and power has started to drop off. It weighs 1.6kg including a 2200 battery.

Would still appreciate prop recommendations if anyone has any?

Those slowfly props are nice. i've used a bunch of them. The only downside is that they don't handle weight well. i found on mu H-quad that the limit is between 1,7 - 1,8kg, over that and they implode . The DT750 have about 1kg trust, so in theory four of them would generate about 4kg thrust. You Should be abel to have stabel hover around 2kg. In a heavy setup like yours i would go for carbonfiber one's or similar.
I use the "budget" carbonfiber props like these http://www.bevrc.com/gf-1147-nyloncarbon-cwcww-propeller-pair_p405.html, and the handle wheigt very good.

APC 10x4.7 SF/SFP here. Only complaint is using the little plastic ring adapter for the hub, not so precise...

The props I linked in my previous post are indeed GemFan. They perform very well on the new H quad (see video). I got the weight down to 1.2kg (including a battery, GoPro and FPV gear) and with 4 motors I have bags of thrust and nice long flight times with a 2.2Ah battery.

They aren't as rugged as the props I linked in the first post in this thread. I am breaking the newer ones at a much higher rate than the my favourites.

Loving the H quad though - I might never go back to a tri after this! Here's some photos of the build:
