What size skewer?

What size skewer do you guys use for the FT designs? I bought a pack a long time ago that I have been using that were about 4.5mm diameter. I'm just about out and the only ones that I can find in stores are 3mm. They're a lot more flimsy and most of them are not even straight.

I recall having the same problem a few years ago. The smaller ones do work and you just have to pick pick thru the package for the best pieces and use the worst pieces short sections. The other day at the grocery store i did see some extra thick skewers but these i think would be to big for most FT builds. Now i think about it I'm going back for them because you never know.

I am also having trouble finding the larger skewers. Does anyone have a suggestion on where I can purchase the larger sized skewers?
