So with the reveal of the Mustang what will the other 2 Warbirds be? I'm hoping for the Boeing P-26 Peashooter.

What a wonderful plane...and so nice to look at.

Yep... that's right, I'm pretty sure one is going to be a P-26. What do you think?

I remember someone mentioning a zero in one of the podcasts? Maybe that was just a dream of mine.. but it would still be pretty awesome.

It would definitely be an awesome build

They mentioned a BF-109 in the pod cast.

The Peashooter would be awesome but would suck on grass since they make their planes so little.

Right after i made this thread i went out and lost my Nube Tube over some houses and couldn't find it. I feel crazy knowing it's out there somewhere but I had to call the search after about 30 mins.

Sorry Buddy, just this morning you were teaching me to fly inverted and now you and your payload of precious electronics are likely lost forever...but not forgotten.

ANYWAY, continue the warbird talk...

I'm hoping both are going to be "enemies" of the Spitfire and Mustang. Both of those are Allies, a German Warbird and a Japanese Warbird would be awesome.

A Stuka would be amazing, even though the details are complicated because of the dive flaps.

I doubt a Stuka. But I think a German plane would be a great enemy for the Spitfire (Battle of Britain). And a Japanese plane for an enemy of the Mustang (Pearl Harbor). That makes sense to me, not sure if Flite Test thinks along the same lines.

I believe through the podcasts and other hinting that the other two are a corsair and bf-109.

Someone made a Stuka and the plans are on here somewhere on here if you want to make one. I'm working on my own twin engine fighter right now.

I can guarantee one will be a corsair. bixler has said it too many times for it not to happen

Completely agree with you... Also a corsair is different enough to justify new plans and build video.

The mustang seems justified by all the new design features and build techniques compared to the spitfire V1 (they pretty much said they are doing a v2 spitter to give the option of legs and other design improvements)

An ME-109 seems pointless to me. It would bring nothing new to the table. It would be only minor cosmetic mods to a mustang. Seems to me every FT design sets a different 'type' not just a different model. The closest I think would be the racer and spitfire. But the spitfire was the first warbird so even though it was really just a cosmetic mod to the racer design, it did still establish an up filled type and the mods were extensive enough to have two very different flyers... A pod racer and a warbird fly very differently...

The me-109 does none of those things compared to what already has been done.

A p-38 makes more sense as it would be very different and probably akin to the modding the cruiser like the racer to spit.

Corsair fits as it would bring significantly new build techniques... And as mentioned they have big love for them.

A WW1 warbird would be super cool and would also fit. Totally different from the blender. I hope they do an albatross. The best looking wW1 bird in my opinion and one of the best overall... Or a spaad. Those rock. Hope it isn't one of the usual done to death same sames... The sopwiths and all look too much the same.

How about a ford tri-motor? Not really a warbird, but kind of cool and different.

Love the idea of a a6m but other than a radial engine shape pretty much only cosmetic and like 109 not adding much... Totally pointless if they do the corsair.

Same for all the other similar mono wing single engine types... Perhaps a Stuka or dauntless would make sense. A dive bomber type might be very different.

Bixler hates EDF and they have the viggen so I don't see a sabre or panther or shooting star or some such.

There is an F-82 in the background of the FT Mustang build video..

Well I'll be ... A twin mustang! I didn't notice that while watching the build video last night ... he could have landed it in my lap without my notice I was so tired...

Now that is pretty dang cool. Definitely different and makes total sense taking the mustang and doing something new ... obviously could just as easily be a P-38 or my personal fav ... a black widow! Glossy blacked out all over ... now that would kill.

Saaaweeet!
