What's in YOUR workshop?

Usually I'm working inside but I have recently been clearing out our 'storage' area and setting up a dedicated workshop. Very rough right now but allows me a good place to store my materials and tools.

Just ordered 5m of LED string lights to enhance the light level in the shop/hanger. ;)

My Workshop is Multi Use.. Mostly depending on the season.. During the summers I don't do any SimRacing so the Arcade becomes the workshop for many things.. Planes, Trucks, Electronics, Decals, T-shirts, Posters, beer coozies. what ever I feel I need to customize at the givin moment lol.. I've gotten nice storage bins and tool bags to make breakdown only take about 10 minutes. Organization makes life quick and easy.

Before: time to play

After: time to build.

Its cool seeing all the different types of workshops.. So many different types of builders out there..

So as of today my shop is on the fritz (as well as in desperate need of a thorough cleaning). The shop is part of an addition to the house that was made in 2004 and the previous owners who did the build out didn't build it with me in mind. I think I've overworked the wiring and fuse box they put in and as of last week all power is out in the shop except the lighting. Once I get the deep cleaning done I'll get an electrician out to get me up and running again.

These pictures are from about 2 years ago. I've added more overhead storage for aircraft and have started building out a spray booth for painting in the back corner. Also added a dust collection and air filtration system as well as a few other tools.

I have to thank my fantastic wife for agreeing to hand over the entire garage to my hobbies. I've made up for it by turning a guest bedroom into a walk-in closet, an office into a pottery studio, and a rec-room into a hooka lounge. To be honest I don't care what she does with the rest of the house as long as I have my shop:D

Nice Pin! I also have a Black knight but your back-glass looks in better shape than mine.
I really want a shuffle bowl but don't have the floor space.

Thanks dude! It took me years to get this pin. I just got it last Fall. It was a favorite of me and my brothers when we were kids. Its funny how many people have a Black Knight pin.. Even my pizza guy heard it going up stairs and was like "Dude you got a Black Knight pin? Me Too!" The back glass is in decent shape.. The blue is about 65% gone. The side art is damn near perfect but the play field shows some age.. A couple quarter sized paint chips missing and barewood at the Magna Save.
Everything else is great.. So far my High Score is 1,532,160

Shuffle Bowling would be great for beer drinking. Best sports are done one handed lol...

Someone said something about doing more multis because they take less space? Yeah...that's true....until the darn things start multiplying!

Can anyone spot all the multis in the mess that is my "workbench"?

If it helps there are 38 motors to account for.....

New addition as of today - Delta 9" Band Saw - very happy that I found this new, in sealed, original box for $75 - that's about half price. I knew I wanted a 9" band saw and would eventually get one at a good price, so I pre-ordered a metal-cutting blade from home depot.

The point of this band saw is to dedicate one band saw to metal cutting. Lots of metal chips, etc so I wanted to leave large b.s. clean just for wood. I want to be able to make bellcranks for C/L planes, etc.

This is a photo off the internet - not my shop... I haven't unboxed the saw yet!

Do I get the "smallest workshop" award?

My workshop consists of the space under my loft bed (I live in a dorm room). It's big enough to build my first speed-build, though -- as long as I can survive sitting on the floor, which is the only empty, flat surface I have ;)

Smallest? Maybe. The "My Back And Knees Hurt Just Thinking About It" award is yours automatically. ;)

Welcome to the obsession!
