Had a dream about burritos, woke up hungry and now can't sleep. As I was waking, I made the decision that today is the day to buy a band saw for our picket fence rebuild (and other things). Now, I just have to sell that to the wife. Anyone good at planting subliminal messages while someone sleeps?

Start off with several random:

"Gosh honey, Look at our fence. Doesn't it look so sad."

followed occasionally by:

"Shame we haven't gotten around to that beautiful picket fence yet"

followed rarely by:

"Ah, well, don't have what we need to make our fence pretty."

Wait for it then set the hook:

"you know we could use a bandsaw to put together the fence easy and it would be handy around the house."

Ah, but you're wanting *quick* brain washing methods, but you're unwilling to use bright lights, drugs and a rubber hose?

Considered breakfast in bed? (burn the bacon, then mention how handy a band saw would be in cutting more bacon)

Crafty - the lumber is sitting in my garage already so the plans are in the works. I got the best Father's Day present ever, yesterday. I went to my local airport's open house while my 16 and 14 year old stayed home and stained the cross pieces for the fence. Today is cutting the pickets to shape and replacing the worst couple of sections.

Monkey - why don't you go bounce your tricopter off the roof? Oh, because you broke it and your wife yells at you. That's why. Is that a cracking whip I hear? ;)

I've decided to buy a scroll saw instead of a band saw. The decision is two-fold. One, cost is half of a band saw and two, I will be able to cut the little brackets for my flaperons and leading edge slats super easily! So many uses!

I broke the news to my wife and only got a slight huff in reply. Game on!

Final package picked up this morning from the Post office, with a slight hitch. I think HK is getting even for the 11"- 3 blade prop they sent me by mistake a while back. A mystery Turnigy badge was in my box, I went back to HK website and it's listed on my order @$1.29.
1. I have never seen these before so I know I didn't order it.
2. Why would I order a Turnigy badge??
3. What did I order that was somehow replaced by it and now will be missing a part?

They toss those in for free. Double check your total. I bet it wasn't added on. One is in my KK2 box on its way to my house.

I hope your right Teach. I ran the numbers and HK has already changed some prices. My order was 27.50 total, now without the badge the total was $26 and small change, with the $1.99 badge it was over $28. The badge's price or free isnt a biggie, just don't want to find out I'm missing a needed item once the build commences :)

I got one too in my order which hasn't arrived yet.

2. Why would I order a Turnigy badge??

Because it's coated in Blingtanium alloy which requires your imagination for best functionality.

3. What did I order that was somehow replaced by it and now will be missing a part?

Why should I know? AFAIK They just add stuff, don't take away...

I can't argue with the first part of your little jab.

But the second. I do what I want, and let her howl until her voice is raw. I am the man of the house, and I will not be curtailed.

I had a dream about burritos one time. They were flip flop flavored and I was selling them door to door to pay for pants because I didn't have any. People wouldn't answer their doors because I wasn't wearing pants.

At least I think that was a dream. The 90's are kind of a blur.

Yeah, I checked mine after I said that, and got the same report.

On a different note. I watched Cloud Atlas last night. It was awesome. I'll be buying it. You have to pay close attention, and you're still going to miss at least half of what's going on. I enjoy movies you can watch multiple times, and still see something new.

Just got a box -- yup, got a Turnigy plack too. Think they're trying to get rid of them -- seems useless to me. Stickers can be put on wings, strap-o-awesome can hold your Tx, but these? Cut apart and re-spelled? TINY RUG? I TRY GUN? Can't do CraftyDan, so NOT INTERESTED.

Everything else in the box was awesome, though . . . I now have all I need to conquer the gentle breezes and fly outdoors!!! (except an assembled airframe -- working up the courage for that . . .)

Yet another item on my list of things that are "grounds for divorce.

My wife ate all of the bacon.
