Help! Where to get foamboard at Flite Fest?

Hi, I have plans to build a plane the FF 2024 and build it. I see that there is no dollor tree there so that means no foamboard. Does anyone know if last year you could buy smaller quantities of the Ft foamboard? Do you remember how much?

I believe the FTFB is sold in packs of 20 or 50, but prices are up to $70-150 this year. Reject foam board is usually made available for free in the build tents though.

There might not be any Dollar Tree locations right there in Malvern, but if you drive 10-15 minutes up the road to Canton, there are tons. See the map below. The star is FliteFest.

If you are looking to build the FF 2024 plane and need Flite Test (FT) foamboard, you can purchase smaller quantities directly from the Flite Test store online. Last year, they offered various package sizes, allowing hobbyists to buy according to their project needs, ensuring you can get the right amount without excess.

What is the difference between Adam’s foam and the free Reject foam?
Adam’s foam is typically known for its high quality and consistency, often used in crafting and model building, whereas free reject foam refers to foam that didn't meet the manufacturing standards and is given away, typically featuring more defects and inconsistencies.

So I really shouldn’t use reject foam to build planes their, right?

It's perfectly fine to make a plane from. You will be hard pressed to find the defects. There will be mass quantities of it, literally a pallet full. In the past, it has been brown, water resistant stuff. I still prefer the original white fb but most prefer the brown.

If you are planning to build, definitely bring a power strip or two. Maybe a short power cord, 10-15 feet or so. There is plenty of electricity but not near enough plugins for everyone to build with.

I always bring extra glue sticks & barbecue skewers to share.

I might build a Scout Xl with the extra foamboard.
