Which FT plane fits Aero Scout parts best?

Hey everyone,

I recently crashed my Horizon Hobby Aero Scout and the airframe is done for, but the electronics survived. I’d like to reuse them in a Flite Test build instead of buying all new gear.

What I’m after is a plane that:
  • Flies slow and forgiving
  • Is simple to build (straight cuts preferred)
  • Works well with the stock Aero Scout components
Here’s the gear I have from the Aero Scout:
  • Motor: 2306‑2250KV brushless
  • ESC: 30A w/ IC3 connector
  • Servos: 4x Spektrum A330 micro servos (9g size)
  • Battery: Spektrum Smart 3S 2200mAh 30C LiPo

I’m pretty new to scratch builds, so I’d love recommendations on which FT plane would be the best fit for this setup. Something slow and simple would be perfect.

It looks like that motor, 2306‑2250KV brushless, won't give the thrust needed for the Sportster. So +1 on the tiny trainer or explorer.
i realy like the tiny trainer but i think my batter might be a bit to big is that realy an issue if it is then
would a explorer work with the motor cos its a bit more suited to the 2200 battery
