Bigger almost always flies better. I have flown the Horizon ultra micro P-51 and it flies great even in wind. Bigger planes are more fun if you have the room but not if it's underpowered.

I will attempt to replace the stock HexTronik DT750kv motor with a Turnigy L3010C-1300kv. I added 1/2oz lead weight to the tail to balance it out with the 2200mah battery. It flys a lot better but I still want more power.
