Today I went to ace hardware and managed to find some 5/32” piano wire for the struts and landing gear wire. I also picked up some smaller diameter piano wire for servo pushrods.

I have all the parts laid out on sheets for cutting. my DTFB and ply stick is a little low, time to go get some. I was happy that I got all the ply parts to fit on one sheet of 12”x24” x1/8” ply. 8 sheets of foam needed.

Still need to make wire templates for wing struts and landing gear, and a few foam parts for that. Because t I’m to the point where I can cut and start assembling.

The ply parts, all the fuselage foam parts, and the 3000mah battery total up to 24.5 Oz.
I didn’t have enough foam for the wing sheets to get cut out. and I have not weighed servos, wire, motor, ESC. And I still have to add wire struts and landing gear.

I may try to eliminate some of the ply parts, but where I put them I felt it was necessary for structural integrity.

Just a small amount of progress tonight. I got the canopy area done. But the skin for that is about 3mm too short, so I will need to cut it off and cut out a new part. And when I got to the tail end of the fuselage I discovered

that I made the bottom sheet 5 mm too narrow, a modeling error on my part. So now I need to cut out 3 more parts as I glued the sides on before I realized it. Time to stop for the evening.
