I built this at 75% and put two 50mm EDF in it. It flies really good, just like a real F-18! Thanks for the plans Ben!
I did not have much paint so that's why the winter camo is not perfect.

I stalled it in an inverted low pass
But I like this design so much that I started cutting a 65% one for a single 50mm EDF.

Well here it is! I only got to fly it once because it was quite windy. Not fully finished because I still need to paint it, I'm thinking of going for Blue Angels look. It weights about 450g without battery.

Paint like that is probably from the prototype days. I like seeing this. I have a great-uncle that was in St. Louis working on these in early development and after. He is still living and comes around a couple times a year and tells stories.

I just scale them down, nothing more to it, yes the cavities are too small but I just eyeball it and it works fine.
This is a tough build though, everything is quit snug and you need to do a lot of trimming to get everything to fit nicely.
But it is totally worth it.
I’m almost done with the paint scheme, pics coming soon.
