notice that i ordered the 1000mAh 35C and not the 1300mAh 25C to counter balance the slightly heavy motor.
I sorry but i think your battery is overkill and that your motor won't last that long
In my own opinion i would have gone for a 15C at the most.

Hello Pilots;

Just re-maidened the plane:

I had to put ALOT of extra weight at the nose: 50 grams !! (2x AA batteries)

the plane flew great ! knife edge like a dream, pretty fast rolls. But i still feel the plane underpowered for 3D, cant recover too well from hovering and after a while it wont hover anymore !!

DO you think might be the ESC ? i cant figure how to program it through the Tx

I need some advise: WHat should i do to get more power ?

i may try to get a new bigger motor, since i need the extra weight on the nose. i need tips on wich motor i should get.

My plane will have a estimate 620g AuW.

im looking into this: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=19038 should it fit without some tunning ?

also one of my options:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2106

its possible to reverse the shaft of it, right ?

another desperate measure and if i had good reviews, this would be my choice:

What makes me sad its investing alot of money on a ready plane ..... i hate to pick not so good parts at start :(

the aerodrive looks the best option since it has 1500Kv and plenty of power ... the problem was the bad review .. but its only ONE review ....

i wish Josh Bixler or someone from flitetest could have a say on this ... why dont we have a forum section with questions about our "not so good projects" so we can have professional advice ?

(dont get me wrong, all advice are welcome !)

I would only run the 1500 kv motor if you running it on a 3 cell battery. Lots of power that way, otherwise you have to be super super light to have enough thrust from a 2 cell.

I think I would be able to help a lot more if I saw it fly. Do you have any videos of it flying?

Cool. I was looking at motors again today, I think before I went up to a 480 size motor, I would look into a higher kv 22 or even a 28 mm motor.

That looks like a good one, I think you could even drop down as far as this one.

A friend of mine has it on one of his planes and he has power to spare. Almost too much. I the 450 size would be plenty. a 480 takes my cub and hovers with floats on it.

Like I said before, a video of what you have now would help immensely but my money would go to the 370 first. If nothing else it would be an awesome scratch build motor if you find it lacking for this. If you buy the motor and ESC together from Altitude, they give you a pretty good discount on the esc. So far good service and quite reasonable shipping times.
