good starter my only change would be a naze 32 instead of the cc3d but its your choice i just like the naze for tuning and its easy usability

Thanks! I was keeping the naze 32 in mind for my second option. I have a extra kk2, would that work very good?
Would this naze 32 work?http://www.banggood.com/Tarot-Naze-...Cleanflight-Baseflight-TL300D3-p-1020089.html

You dont want to use a kk2 trust me.That naze is a clone so its not the best to use but if you are on a budget you could get away with it i recommend this one http://www.getfpv.com/acro-naze32-f...hJLMMkqKlrPWpNC1WeE2-11_6RDFcskuIoaAvAC8P8HAQ

I used BLheli on my anycopter and liked them a lot so I will go with those. As far as TX/RX I am using the Turnigy 9x remote and a flysky 6ch receiver(to save weight), ether that or my DX6i which has dsm2.

Thanks a lot airhawk! I am on a slight budget, so I may stick with the cc3d board.

Thanks for all of the help!

the naze is worth the extra but if yo are on a budget its fine to stick with the cc3d.If you look on ebay you could get a deal on a naze but make sure its genuine.I run simon ks right now on my quad thats very similar to your setup and i like it but i like blheli a bit more.I would go with an esc above 15 amps just so if you ever want 4s you have the option to switch batteries i made the mistake of not buying over 15 amps escs. Oh and by the way lemon rxs are dsm2 compatible and are dirt cheap i highly recommend them http://www.lemon-rx.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=59&product_id=92
I started off with the dx6i too its a great radio but if you ever get tired of it the dx6 is amazing. Just giving you another option here but i got a quad bundle for $146 (with the powerful motors the mt 2204 motors) Yes they run simonk but the price cannot be beaten its a great durable frame all you need to add is a pdb,rx,and props (and stand offs for the pdb and naze 32) if its in your budget thats the place to g to but be advised that shipping is very slow and overpriced.
Hope all this helps and i can keep you from making the mistakes i did.
Good luck

Thank you very much airhawk! I think I found a good naze board from HK,http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=105184

What do you think?

I have been using the orange 615r receivers from hobby king and some generic ones from banggood($4.99 so I only use them in minis or little park flyers)

A friend of mine has the dx6 and I really liked it, but I also really like my 9x.

As far as 4s goes I never plan to use it but like you said it would be nice to have that option, I will see what I can find for 15 amp escs.

Thanks again!

P.S. I updated my parts list.

If you can order from the international warehouse yeah that's a great deal.Have you done any looking around on youtube for flight videos all of the best flying is on 4s(also i would start thinking about the kind of style your flying is going to embody)

never mind i was dumb and missed the fact you can order the naze on hk at the west. But im not done i forgot to also ask you (out of interest)what are your goals with a mini quad do you want a slow cruiser or a swift racing machine,or a freestyle quad.If you let me know about all that i could tune the suggestions to that style.

I built a anycopter for my slow fpv cruising machine, I want to build this 250 quad for racing with some of the guys at the local flying club and freestyle.

I have some fpv gear in mind, would you mind taking a look?http://www.banggood.com/Eachine-700...egree-Camera-w32CH-Transmission-p-965760.html (obviously change the antenna)

Thanks!

I love that kit i have it on my shrieker 130 im guessing you already have goggles right?.If your racing you will want 4s eventually so 15-20amps would be great and then try one shot on the naze 32 and you will be impressed

Yes I have googles, I think what I might do is order the 12amps now then when I am ready to go to 4s I will get 4 20amps, then move the 12amp to my future backup quad.

I added some extra things to the parts list and changed my battery option.

Thanks a ton airhawk!

No problem. If you buy 4s escs you wil send less in the future instead buying 12amps now and then adding the 4s esc would equal more in the long run

Okay, what would you suggest for 20amps?

Don't forget this is a budget build.

Thanks!

i know i have some 20 amps in mind here
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__73085__Hobbywing_X_Rotor_ESC_20amp_AR_Warehouse_.html

your other option is this one

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...Controller_SimonK_Firmware_US_Warehouse_.html

option 3 if you have a lenient budget
http://rotorgeeks.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=34_43&product_id=307

or you could get the little bee 20 amp
http://rotorgeeks.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=34_43&product_id=457

hope this gives you something to think about while i find more stuff for you
Thanks

Thanks for the options airhawk, but I just thought of something, if I use 4s I will need to get a 12amp ubec for my fpv system. also OPTO esc's might be a problem without a 5v bec for the naze board. If I can get that figured out I think the afro's look the best as far as price, but they are simonk.

Thanks again for the help, sorry if its frustrating to help a multirotor noob.

no problem i was/still am there everyone is a noob at some aspect of the hobby.I think simon k is fine not everyone likes them but they are useable for starters if you ever feel like upgrading at least you will be in familiar grounds having flown a 4s quad before. opto is common i was going to reccomend the ztw spder but they are opto too.
but for your fpv setup fatshark sell this great filter i reccomend it http://www.getfpv.com/filtered-balance-lead-power-supply.html

This is a tough decition...... Spend more on bigger esc's now and then rebuy blheli esc's later with a 10$ power filter, or buy the cheaper 12a esc's to see if I like racing and if so(and when I have a bigger budget) upgrade esc's, battery, and probably my frame( because lets face it, that frame is not very good)

I think I am going to go with option two for now, because of my budget, and my multirotor flying skill.

Thank you very, very much airhawk, for all of your help and time.

i get that decision if your not sure about if you are going to commit or not its smarter to get the cheap stuff. But really you could run 4s on 12amps but you would be running a fine line.
