I am coming back into quads after a 6 month break and today I re-maidened a custom carbon fibre quad I designed early last year. When I initially maidened it, it had huge vibration issues and it flew terribly. At the time I put it down to old, dinged up props.
After deciding to start flying again I bought some new props and put the beast back together. This morning I balanced the motors and got it up in the air with the new props. While it does fly better than the previous iteration, there is still a huge problem with vibrations. I was wondering whether the frame of the quad could be accentuating the vibrations somewhat. The arms are 3mm carbon, roughly 23cm long. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
