Hey kazuma here again i am looking to find a ride to flite fest i have posted on this onces and hope someone replys. Im not trying to bring much. Ill have a share of gas and other things.my good attitude and happy out look. Im a great people preson and im the oldest of 7 brother and sisters so im great with kids, so i know if I am able to ride with someone we will have fun. I am willing to help in any way to earn my spot, so all of us have a great time. I won't be able to do this on my own and would owe you alot as I do flite test for getting me in the air. I ll be posting alot the next few weeks so I can plan to take the right amount of time off work. Hope to here from someone

Much as I'd like to help, a buddy and I are planning to pack our luggage, field boxes, miscellaneous supplies, and several FT planes into my MINI Cooper. Wish us luck. I guess we could tie somebody onto the fender...

Great idea, by the way! Hopefully some folks will be able to make FT that couldn't otherwise.

DSM to Flightfest

Fly private with me: free. I'm flying up for the event and would love to pick some people up. I'm in Southern Iowa so it's not out of the way

Hey epicstrikard, does your offer of transportation still stand? My family and I are still trying to plan our trip from DSM to flitefest. I am an Air Traffic Controller in Des Moines, and hope I am able to bring all my rc gear.

Hi Knightshots - I am leaving from DSM as well. Are you driving all the way in one shot or stopping midway? I am trying to figure out a good spot to break up the drive and before I invest too much time looking, I saw you were possibly making the same trip and may be a bit ahead of me planning wise

I would like to make it there in one day. Not sure if that is going to happen since renting a van at noon vs 8am saved me 100 bucks. So I am still trying to figure out if I can set up camp on Thursday night, or if we will need to get a hotel on Thursday night.

From the looks of it, from DSM to the event should be about 11-12 hours.

Most walmarts and casinos will let you park your RV for one night no problem. I went all the way to Yellowstone once donig just that.

Saturday from Columbus

I'm driving in from columbus and looking to have some one ride with me just to keep me awake looking to drive up saturday morning and try to get back to cbus around 7-8
