Hey FliteTesters,
I just put some lights on my HobbyKing Reaktor and went night flying and thought I'd post a few pics. I used the HobbyKing LED strips wired up to the balance connector on my lipo. The whole thing went together really easily and I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. Flying at night is a blast but more importantly I can push in to the evening when the sun has set and I'm still down at the park, I used to start losing orientation when the shadows got deep.
Here's the balance plug connector. I just ordered a JST-XH to ThunderPower adapter (because that was all I could find with the female JST-XH in the HK american warehouse) and snipped the wires and soldered on my own.
Here's some of the bridges between strips.
And here's what it looks like with the lights on.
Finally, a little movie that's not terribly exciting but you can see how it looks in the air and laugh at my bad flying
