I’ve had
tonight was fixing night. i decided to give my very first edf from banana hobby a touch up. I'm Gona give it a try see how it goes. the edf starts to vibrate after i push the throttle. if it does not work like intended i might replace the fan blade with a 2" 3 blade prop and make bdf.
i have a few ideas on how to put 2 3blade props on the edf motor since it is a six blade edf see how it goes. the exiting part of tonight is that i spent some of my allowance on some props. some complain about the price of props. if you need some check out hobby king's bargain bin, i went crazy on it. well i think prices like these are a bargain. check it out. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/diatone-bull-nose-plastic-propellers-6-x-4-5-cw-ccw-orange-2-pairs.html
I would recommend polycarbonate drone props for ducted mini quads- I’ve seen 8 blade 3 inch props before. You’ll have to make a jig to drill out the hubs perfectly centered, but if you can do that, you’ll be able to make a nice bdf for floatier jet builds.

Spring. The snow is melting and soon the huge lake next to the house in Moscow will melt. I decided to build a second Q4 model . All the details fit together. The assembly is very easy. The model turns out to be beautiful and very fast floating on the water. A drawing is attached for those who want to assemble it .

Finally got the last of this build done! All balanced and ready for a maiden to see how well it does or doesn't do. Wind is horrible today as we have a nasty noreaster coming in. Maybe it will leave enough snow to do a ground takeoff from the snow!

are there plans? Is this a self designed plane?

This one is a self design. Made templates to cut and took notes. If I ever make another one there are definitely a few things that I would update to make the build a little easier and lighter if possible. The wing is detachable to make transport easier since the span is close to 60". I also set it up so that the cowl is removable and the top of the power pod area is open too.

Got first wing panel done for an experimental build of a 1.7m Bearcat. Spar is full depth foamboard box section done with hot glue. Ribs hot glued onto front and back of the spar in a build jig to keep everything aligned and wash-put consistent. Skin is 5mm insulation foam attached with foaming gorilla glue. So far looking very promising - feels very rigid and only 160g. I’m liking this technique so far!

I had a few pieces of foamboard collecting dust so i looked at the mf-typhoon and said buddy you need a wingman so the proses started. but iwas just wondering if i could make in to a EDF instead of a pusher. I have had this EDF that i bought on ebay years ago and it's lonely it wants freeeedooom. i go one other one 3d printed in the oven will see how it come's out, it's the Eclipson Gö 1 Wolf. here is the link if you have a 3d printer and want to give it a go. https://www.eclipson-airplanes.com/gö1wolf. lets get ready winter is almost over.

Hey guys,

Just got into the hobby and was wondering if I could be making a trainer like a cub or something like that for a starter airplane?
By the way, do you think you could use use a 70mm EDF 12 blade with a 3S 3300Mah Lipo 35C and a 80Amp ESC system and how much thrust do you think it would give you approx.?

Maybe start with a tutor or similar for a beginner, and leave the second part of your question until you have some experience under your belt

On March 1, flights of aircraft models were allowed and I flew around the F22. We're leaving for the country tomorrow, my daughter is on vacation and this morning I wrapped F22 with colored tape. The flight weight with a 2200 mA 3S battery is 726 grams. SunnySky 2212 engine .

I think that the FT Tiny Trainer would be a great start.
