Brown paper covering

I'm new to building these foamies. I'm not a fan of the brown paper covering the foam on my Bloody Baron. Does it have to remain on the foam, or can I remove it?

The paper is a huge part of the strength of foamboard planes so it needs to stay.
That said, nothing wrong with light painting, colored packaging tape or some stickers.

you need the paper. use some light sanding before paint and the brown goes away.

You could cut out a new one using Dollar Tree foam board, the paper is white.

Use the brown foam pieces as templates for the white foam.

Well said.
I've found that under a good coat of spray paint the brown color for the most part becomes hardly noticeable.
