Lit up FT Duster

First post.

This is the first version of a FT Duster w/led ...it flew well once I got it dialed in despite the build errors.

V2 has a 33" wing span and will be completed soon.

Looks great Salty! Now go scare some neighbors with the crop-duster shaped UFO!

Lights look nice!!

I really like the FT duster design and the lights were easy to incorporate into the build. I put a light shinning up underneath the horizontal stab to light up the tail, but didn't really achieve the desired affect.

V2 will have a different tail light and a Windex bottle canopy.

Here is V2 out for a night taxi trial. The lipo was covering up the blue light in the nose and I still have work to do on the canopy, but she is ready for a maiden.

Looks ready for it!

Maiden in the light, then fly at dusk. The gotchas of night flight aren't that bad, but they're easier to deal with as the sky still has enough light to show where the obstacles are.

looks sharp. I just finished my H-quad last night and used clear plastic tubes to booms and put the leds in there.

We (local club) had all of these planes up at the same time last night. It was a blast. We flew from sun down til 11 o'clock, but you are right, I could have flown all night.
