If you are doing a push pull you do not need full length outers as when control surface is moved it is PULLING and not pushing. Should only need them where they exit the fuselage and maybe in front of the servo to guide the cable, unless some real curves are needed.

Push-pull shouldn't be any harder on the servo than a standard setup, unless you're leaving both lines in tension or creating extra friction in the lines or something.

just to clear it up. I'm not using the 2 cable push-pull. I was looking for a single cable. like an old choke cable on a car but much smaller. that way I can run one cable like 3 feet long and just tack the sheath along the way.
