Yes, been a busy year...I noticed you have not sealed up the front yet? It looks like the CF-3 Nose Fill-In piece isn't installed?
yeah this is what is pulling me to the dark side: balsabeautiful

A tube frame will probably fly better at 1/3 scaleOh, my next one is going even darker than balsa. A carbon fiber tube space frame & a flat twin 4 cycle. The question is, will it be 1/3 or 1/4. I got this 240 twin for a good deal. Turns out to be too big for the 1/4 scale. Now I am contemplating making it a 1/3. Now I just need to measure the Pathfinder to see if one that size will fit in there.

I think a 2.4 would be a little small for a 1/3 cub. Usually on those you want at least a 50cc gas but I have seen them fly on OS 300 twins before. 1/4 is also a little too small though if you want really ridiculous performance you could get away with it. I personally would split the difference and try like 1/3.5 scale or 30% or something in that range.Oh, my next one is going even darker than balsa. Already in the process of doing it in a 1/3.5 scale. Picking up the prints for the plans today. Alex from Iflytallies is printing out some of my cockpit parts. 120" WS. Hope to keep it in the low 20's for the weight in pounds.

yeah just a modet priveMy biggest hang up @ a 1/3.5 scale was the main gear. I noticed that the H9 CubCrafter XCub is in 1/3.5 scale, so I ordered the upgraded version. Hope I can make it fit. I do live within a few miles from Robart. I am sure for the price of a modest home, they can custom size one for me.
@cyclone3350 what motor did U use?
IM BEGGING, follow through with the IC this time, I would have LOVED to see an engine on the other cub. Seems more pure, especially with all those scale details. But its still a beautiful aircraft, no hate.Oh, my next one is going even darker than balsa. A carbon fiber tube space frame & a flat twin 4 cycle. The question is, will it be 1/3 or 1/4.
