Very nice!

Is packing tape easier to apply than paint?
I don't know because i haven;t aplied paint before. But yes, it is easy.

I might switch over to tape. Paint is like $4 per can and I use about half a can per plane and you have to do a few coats.

U can try color tape first. The tapes i have were a gift from a friend, something like these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HOZ82OY/?tag=lstir-20
Not look at the priece, it is for having an idea. Could looks like it is a lot of money for some tapes, but i have used a lot of this tape on my planes and there is still tape for several more. Also, on the same plane you can use different colors, so you spend less. I think it's cheaper than buying paint cans.

Yeah, I think I'll buy some!

The link you gave me is the exact tape I was looking at.

You should look for a best offer. Nadala be careful when buy it because the one u must buy is packing tape instead duct tape, it sounds obvious but it's not. They can look equal if u don't look closely. Color duct tape won't works well because it is too heavy.
U can also see those videos

Next steep is to glue the tail and add rear wheel so that way i will be able to find where the battery should be to keep the balance. I hope I don't have to put it so far up front because it wouldn't fit. :cautious: And I don't even want to add any extra weight.

The Wheels
Maybe it won;'t last as much as i would like, but will work for the maiden and maybe several flights.
I use low density EPP cut with my hot wire cutter. The process was simple. Maybe 20g after paint. Wheels are 115 mm diameter.

A funny thing I noticed while looking at some images of the tundra on the internet is that each wheel of tundra weighs just over 21g. This is more than my two wheels together.
Well, maybe the original wheels will last twice as long as mine, too. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Just so you know, the original Durafly Tundra is upward of 1.1kg all up weight, the motor is a 900kv with a 12x6 prop.

Mine has so much hot glue, gorilla glue and carbon fibre rods holding it together that it weights in at a whopping 1.5kg with the single 2200 3S and can get as high as 1.7kg if I load it up with more, it flies fine and doesn't even feel underpowered on 3S.

So if you are nearly a kilo under that you've nothing to worry about if the motor is meaty enough lol, CoG is 50-60mm from the leading edge (mine is about 55).

Well, the original Tundra is a bit bigger than this, this is 1200mm wingspan instead 1300mm of the original Tundra. But i guess under 1kg will be fine. Thanks for the info (y)(y)
