Hi forum,
I have a couple of the Radial 2280 motors and I'm trying to figure out some good prop combos for 2s and 3s. The only datasheet info I have is for 3s on a 6x3 prop, max wattage is 140. I ran my scratchbuilt this morning on a 3s swinging a 5.5x5.5 prop and it got very hot. Hooking up to my wattmeter it was pulling over 15 amps at full throttle on this prop, so definitely more than the ~141 watts for that recommended 3s prop.
My question is how many watts can I safely pull on this prop? Does anyone know how or where to find more detailed usage maximums for this motor?
