If you have some hard landings, the screw holes in the booms will wallow out a little and the booms will get a little play in them. I don't think there is much you can do about this other than use a harder boom material--but the whole point is that the booms will take the shock. If you really were determined, maybe you could install some metal or plastic bushings in the booms, but honestly it's probably overkill. A little flex in the booms won't hurt anything, as long as they are intact (i.e. not actually cracked in half).

With the spider quad, I find that the front booms are more resistant, probably because the screw holes are farther apart and provide more leverage. If you wanted to, you could extend the rear booms further into the hub and get three screws on them instead of two, or two screws further apart, and that might help.
