Long story short, after trips to walmart and dollar tree to get all the materials/tools, i decided to download the plans for the FT Mini Sparrow...several days later, Viola! I'm a noob at this and realize where i can do better, but after counter balancing with a glued stack of pennies in the front this baby soars!

You're only a few steps away from the Edge 540. Soon you'll be carving up the sky doing 3D aerobatics. How about one with a motor as your next step - maybe the Storch? Christmas is coming. There's no excuse for not having your RC gear on your list if you don't already have it.

Yep the Storch looks like a nice trainer..was looking at either FT Explorer for next build or a Long EZ (love the design.) I have a Blade Inductrix quad that comes with a DSMX transmitter but not sure how well it will work for this build though. Still need to collect batteries/charger, motor, ESC, and servos too.
