Antenna Compatibility?

I am looking to slowly upgrade my FPV setup and I am wondering if there is any benefit to running the exact same antenna type and/or brand on your tx and rx?

I currently run a 5.8mhz SpiroNet Circular Polarized (RHCP) (http://www.getfpv.com/5-8-ghz-spiron...a-set-sma.html) on my Rx and am wanting to upgrade my tx and run a IBCrazy 5.8 GHz Airscrew Cloverleaf Ultra Antenna (RHCP) (http://www.getfpv.com/ibcrazy-5-8-gh...a-antenna.html)

Am I going to have any compatibility issues or range loss from running these two antenna together? They are both RHCP 5.8mhz antenna.

Would it be better to stick with two SpiroNets or two IBCrazy, or does that make no difference?

As long as the polarity and tuned band matches, they should work just fine. IBCrazy's antennas tend to be ever so slightly better tuned than the spironets, but IMO, the effect is marginal.

If you only put a VAS antenna on the Tx the benefit will not be noticeable. IMO if you want increased range save up for a diversity receiver and directional antenna.
