Blackout MINI H quad pre-build HELP!

Quick intro,

I have been in the hobby for about 3 years starting with helicopters then moving to planes, and now into the multirotor scene. I am a proficient flyer capable of doing mild 3D aerobatics with both the planes and heli's but I haven't been much of a tinkerer, but I'm trying to change that. Basically every aircraft I own was setup with the manufacture recommended equipment and settings with some help from friends in my flying club. Unfortunately I am the first in my group of flying buddies to venture into the quad/FPV world so the experience and support is not there, this is where you guys and flitetest come in. I started with the Tricopter (David's frame) and have it built up but it hasn't flown yet but ill start a different thread for that, this thread is going to be all about the Blackout mini H quad that I am about to purchase and what all I need. so here we go and thanks in advanced for all of your help! :)

Frame - Black out mini H quad

Motors/ESC's - Blackout recomends the Tiger Motor MN1806 2300kv and a 12amp esc. is this the best setup for 3S or should I get something different? readymaderc has a nice combo for $178
http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=165_177_182_451&products_id=3260

Flight controller - Acro Naze 32 http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=76_156&products_id=3061
or CC3D OpenPilot http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=76_156&products_id=2152

This is where my lack of "tinkering skills" slws me down. Now I have done some research and it seems that the naze 32 is the better choice but I would like a little insight from you guys(pros/cons of each). The biggest thing is which is more user friendly/easy to setup? i should mention that im looking to do FPV flying and some friendly racing( I dont need or want a 200mph quad. atleast not yet lol) dont really care about gps, weypoints or return to home.

radio equipment - JR 9503 and a 6ch reciever

FPV equipment - this is where I need some help also. I am thinking the fatshark attitude goggles (5.8Ghz). these seem to be a middle to high end set for a decent price. if I am wrong please let me know and feel free to post what you use.
http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11_22_227&products_id=2283

video TX - probably the 250mW that comes with the goggles to start. do the goggles work with the 600mW TX? also im assuming from my research that the higher mW transmitters give you more range?

Recording - mobius first then save up for gopro

Sorry for the laundry list of questions but I look forward to getting the mini h quad and doing some FPV flying, and again thanks in advanced for your help.

I'm building a clone of the Blackout. I'll be using the KK2 board most likely (I have a few laying around.) Here's what I ordered.

Four ESC's. $8.99 each $35.96

http://www.myrcmart.com/rcx-12a-sky-simonk-brushless-esc-for-multicopter-23s-p-8051.html

Four 250 rated motors. $9.99 each $39.96

http://www.myrcmart.com/rcx-18062-2...hless-motor-best-for-200300-frame-p-7951.html

And the clone frame (which is sold out currently). $19.99

Total of $95.91

I love my Fat Shark gear. And I am just as, if not more happy with my Mobius compared to my GoPro. It's less expensive, it has similar recording quality, and I'm not as scared to crash with it.

I've used a KK2, Naze32 and some multiwii boards.

If you get a KK board with a screen it has the advantage of not requiring a computer to change settings.

The default Naze32 setup can fly pretty much any quad in my experience and this is what I would personally recommend. When you want to tinker you just need a USB cable and a copy of the Baseflight configurator which works equally well on Mac or PC. Updating the firmware from the app only requires a couple of clicks too.

The only thing to watch out with the Naze32 is they don't always come with pins attached so you may need to solder them on yourself.

My experience with regular Multiwii boards has been less than stellar due to all the messing around when you want to update them and the standard JAVA configuration utility is pretty poor.

I am going to recommend you stay away from the 1806's and get you a nice set of 2204 2300kv motors. You can pick up a set of Cobra 2204's and 20A BLHeli ESCs from rotorgeeks.com for just under $140 and I think you'd be a lot happier in the end.

The 2204's will spin a 6045 prop on 3S all day long and not get hot. I know the BO frame is made for 5" props, but if you stick with that frame I know they released longer arms for 6" props. Spending the little extra money right now (I guess less since they aren't Tiger Motors?) will be worth it in the end, even if you end up cutting 6045 props down to 5" in the meantime. I had an FPV quad with DYS 1806's and 5030 props and it was horrible to fly... 6030 props helped out some, but it was still not very responsive. I do have an acro quad with 1806's with 6030 props and it's fun to fly, but the weight of the FPV quad just seemed too much for the motors to handle to my liking.

Well shoot! i got all excited and already ordered the t-motor 1806 2300kv and the t-motor esc's. i was having isssues posting so i went with what i read. looks like i should see if i can return those motors and get the bigger 2204's

so here is what i have so far

BO mini H frame
Naze 32 (after some more research i decided on this one)
tiger 1806 2300kv x4
t-motor S12A escs x4
sony super had 600tvl ccd board camera for fpv

i have not ordered my fpv RX/TX yet but i have some questions before i do.

i was looking at the attitude v2 combo at first but then i see the dominatorv2's (not the HD) which comes as a head set only which would be kinda nice because i already have a camera and i want a 600mw tx not the 250 that comes with the attitude. are the dominator v2's alot better then the attitude v2's? i suppose if i get the attitude combo i could put the 250 tx and camera on my tricopter.

i only paid $25 for the tiger 1806's because they were on sale so i wouldnt really save much going with the cobras but the extra power sounds fun
