as longas the nosewheel center is "angled back" of centerline/mount of strut, it will self-correct its direction by movement of plane forward.

My takeaway is to test taxiing before closing up - thank you both @SquirrelTail and @Tench745!

I'm doing a free-castering nose wheel on my Dumod build. I intend to do a bunch of taxi testing myself. It's worked okay for slow manuvering but I still want to see how it behaves at higher speeds and how it reacts when touching down as in a landing.
