configuring and programming HK-T6A V2

I want to configure HK-T6A V2 (6CH), to make the switch A or B (ch 5 or ch 6) to do specific function like autopilot or any other function (Not DR or through cut like in the t6config software).
I know that the pulse pwm is from -100 to +100, but when I connect the transmitter to the pc and try to configure the switch using the software I only have two option DR and cut or Null.
I read too much about mixing and that I can do that with mixing but I do not know anything about mixing either so I hope some body help me with that.
In general I want to switch on a switch in the transmitter while flying and do a function which programmed in the flight controller like auto pilot, but I do not know how to do that.

First you will need one of these
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9043__Hobby_King_2_4Ghz_6Ch_Tx_USB_Cable.html
and get the programming software. The stock software and drivers should be available on the files tab of the tX page or the page for the cable

you can also get the cable and software here
http://www.fingertechrobotics.com/proddetail.php?prod=fs-l001

There is also this improved software by Stefano Grassi...
http://www.sgr.info/usbradio/default.htm

which is more flexible.

It should be fairly easy to just associate one of the switches or knobs with one of the Aux channels 5 and 6. I think you only have two way switches so a switch will make the channel go from -100 to +100 which you FC can detect and treat as on/off or mode x/mode y

It may be possible to mix the two channels to get 4 level out of the two switches on one of the channel.
Or you can use one of the knobs. A common way is to replace the potentiometer with a n way switch that switches in different resistance values giving you n different values between -100 and +100. Can't find one off hand but search around.

pretty bad video quality but here's a video that gives an overview of the Stefano Grassi DigitalRadio software.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ef7_vPh_xog

Here's a FlightTest hosted article on the standard software
http://flitetest.com/articles/programming-the-hk-6ch-2-4ghz-v2-tx
The article explains mixing starting about half way down. Search for "The "MIX." button."

Probably from this you can see the Stefano Grassi DigitalRadio software is a much better implementation. Give him 2 bucks if you use it.

Here is a video where one of the pots is used to select between 6 different flight modes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtERO8R-gzg

here is an article about replacing the pot on an HK-T6A with discrete levels
http://aeroquad.com/entry.php?59-15...g-AUX-or-MODE-VRs-with-discrete-switch-inputs

here is a good general article about replacing a pot with a 6 position switch which is a much better way to do this.
