It's two sections of straw, hot-glued to a piece of an old, cancelled credit card. The antennas are just stuck into the straw so I can still take out the receiver if needed. I had to modify the hatch cover so that it still sat flush with the antennas there, but I couldn't really think of a better place to put the antennas.
EDIT: BTW, I know some have proposed that plastic near the active/driven element can change its impedance and hurt reception. I will do some tests to see, but I can't right now because it's raining.
