Hobbyking have an EU warehouse:

Which I can of course get things shipped to the UK from if the UK warehouse is out of stock. The Global Warehouse I think is based in Hong Kong - but of course, Banggood are another source just over in China and postage from there will take just as long.

The Hobby King warehouse in europe is based in Holland (Netherlands), I think and their delivery is excellent. I use it quite a lot as the UK warehouse is a waste of time. It rarely has any decent stock in ? If it does have anything its usually things nobody wants anyway.

With the effects of Brexit I'm really not sure of what stuff we can now get in the UK. Banggood has slashed the amount of stuff they will ship to us and many companies in mainland Europe are refusing to ship due to the extra paperwork involved. #hatebrexit. Least I know I didn't vote for it!!!

I just bought a spare Volantex 4023 1050kv for my Phoenix as they where on offer Aliexpress, they cahrged me the VAT in advance around £2.70. But with the money off coupon I ended up almost back at the original price so paid £15.03 which includes shipping. I also bought four 9g metal servos from Banggood again using points I had built up I only paid £13.24 including postage and no additional VAT. I will have to wait and see if I get charged extra when they arrive in the UK now.
The only thing Banggood refused to sell me was Lipo's which I can understand, plus I wouldn't buy those Chinese Zippo batteries anyway heard some bad reviews.
There are bound to be some teething problems to begin with, but once the UK build stronger trade links with the Asian and US markets, prices will start improving, its the EU that will lose out in the long run. Serves them right for being so greedy in the first place, I can see more countries following the UK's example over the next 5 years.
