We all appreciate being able to download plans and build the FT planes and it's fun to modify them and share the mods here on the forums (fora?).
There seems to be some confusion about what can be posted and I thought maybe @SP0NZ or someone from FT would like to comment.
Here is the official FT copyright.

The sentence at the end "Permission is granted to share suggested or actual modifications only on web domains controlled by Flite Test, LLC, specifically, https://www.fllitetest.com/, https://forum.flitetest.com/, https://flitetest.com/, and https://www.ftstem.com/." leaves a window open and it would help to know the intent.
Here are questions I have:
How big a modification is needed to qualify?
Would a guesstimate of a 3D printed part replacement for a plywood part qualify?
Can they be shared on FT Fans fb group?

This thread is to get clarification. It is NOT a place to gripe or complain about the reasonable limits that FT puts on THEIR OWN designs and any posts that go that direction will be deleted.

I believe that the key takeaway from the Personal Use Only disclaimer on all the newer drawings/plans is this:

The design, drawing or any derivative may not be reproduced and republished in any form or format for non-commercial or commercial use without the expressed written consent of FliteTest, LLC.

If you do not receive written approval from Flite Test, do not post it.

I do most of the resource posting for Flite Test using the @flitetest account. Those are official models designed by Flite Test. Flite Test will send me the files and I will create the resource page and attach the files. Recent examples of these resources would be FT Tubby Bubby Bomb, FT Tubby B-17 Nose, FT Landing Gear Heavy.

I also post resources that I have asked permission to model and share. I post those using my personal account. These models are created from the laser file 2D geometry to make sure they are as close to the kit parts in form, fit and function as possible. A recent example of these resources would be the FT Tubby B-17 Short Kit. I will be posting more of these types of resources as I get permission to do so.
