Although it may be a cool concept, it is highly illegal in the us. I think just a sugar rocket powered airplane would be awesome though

oooh....I was thinking of a power assisted take off, not a missile. my bad, hee hee!

so speaking of power assist...has anyone done something like that with any aircraft?

I could see a real niche space for using rockets to get an FPV really high up so the pilot can bring it down slowly for a longer than average flight time. assuming they can have the radio range of a couple thousand feet.
