Hey guys haven't built a plane in over 20 years got the itch to do so picked up two Hobby zone champs for 10 bucks went to Hobby shop no balsa, no foam, no carbons spars...grr.. picked up some foam from the dollar store wood glue and two coffee stir sticks.. no scale, no plans, guessed CG..just built out of memory pretty much flies itself battery life went from 6-7 minutes to over 15 still no idea how many grams it is.. champ wingspan was 20" in this is at 26" and 38grams.. flies amazing, had it in 15km wind today... Going to push the limit on the electronics and go to 30 or 32" and a little more surface area..

Same one, just dressed up now..lol.. needs wing spars bad. Otherwise it's so efficient. I couldn't pass up the two crashed champ kits for 10 bucks each.. flys crazy good and impressed it took 15km wind. Slightly bigger one coming next. Going to push the effecency as far as possible on the 8mm motor and 3.7 150mah LiPo. Ideal conditions, I think I can get 25min flight from it.. first brick pack build. Only did HLF as a kid. Hooked on these. Too fun.
