Hobbyking HK T6A v2 Help

I have been working on a tricopter, and I have just wired up the HK T6A v2 receiver to the flight control board, which is a Hobbyking KK2.1.5. I have bound it correctly, but when I go into receiver test and press the throttle, the aileron number changes, and when I press the roll lever, it changes the throttle. Also when I push the lever to yaw right is says that it is left and vice-versa. I also cannot seem to get any motors to move. Thanks.:confused:

So I assume you have a4,i6 or i10 TX.

If its mode 2 then
CH1=AIL = Right Stick Horizontal
CH2=ELV = Right Stick Vertical
CH3=THR = Left Stink Vertical
CH4=RUD = Left Stick Horizontal

Are you using PPM mode? If so you probably have to map the channels. If you are using separate connections for the channels it sounds like you have them miswired.

This video is not for your RX but it shows configuring the PPM mode mapping and talks about reversing channels if they need to be.

Thanks, I got the throttle and the roll sorted out. Do I need to reprogram the remote to fix the left-right forward-backward issue with the yaw and pitch?

You may be able to reverse the "servos" or channel direction on the KK board (not sure) but you should also be able to do it on your TX (controller, remote) . Servo reversing is supported by even the most basic TXs

Sorry I was confused by you saying it was an RX and thought it was something else. You meant you have HK-T6Av2 TX and a HK-T6Av2 RX

That TX is essentially the same as the FlySky CT6B

Note: The HK-T6Av2 uses V2 RXs which as far as i can tell use FlySky's AFHDS as used by the FlySky CT6B. The FlySky CT6A and the HK HK-T6A used the old DSSS protocol. Flysky changed A to B and HK added v2

This seems like the correct cable..

So you can get it multiple places although HK has it in stock in both US warehouses and its cheapest from there

Annoying that HK don't just include it. It's generally included with the FlySky version of the TX. Not like its really optional for this radio.

If cost is a premium try this

http://www.banggood.com/FlySky-Data...-T6-Transmitter-Firmware-Update-p-982289.html

It says it works for the FS-CT6B and it says "used to connect the transmitter and computer,adjust parameter" so I suspect it is the same as the HK one.

It also says "Can transfer big head and small head" :) so it's got you covered.

There are only 3 cables, this, a simulator cable and a buddy cable.

So a small risk but a low price. Will just cost you some time from your build.

I have a friend with the HK-T6A v2 transmitter who bought the cable to change the settings in his controller from Hobbyking. I haven't seen it work in person, but he claims the cable worked like a charm with no problems. It is the same cable linked in defhermit's post.

the only port on the side of the hk-t6a v2 is a DC power one to recharge a battery that also doesn't come with it. the trainer, simulator, and programming cables ALL use the back "trainer" port, and are NOT interchangeable. there is apparently a way to use the programming cable for simulators, but it doesn't just work out of the box you have to install some go-between application. I never got around to it before I broke that transmitter and had to buy a different one.

I have the FlySky CT6B, and that piece of software was well worth $1 for the full version. The stock software works with COM1-9 (from memory), but the cable shows up as COM26 or something silly like that so the usbradio software is virtually essential. There's plenty of youtube videos on how to program the CT6B for whatever flavour of flying you're into.

(There's a new version out, might give it a look)
