Definitely high temp for the long beads you're going to eventually have to lay. It's nice to have the extra working time before the glue cools and sets, but man does it hurt if you get that hot stuff on you. But you'll get used to it.

It's actually fine to use low temp, you just have less time to work with it but it glues just the same. ... I think. You should be fine. I used to use the low temp setting without any issues until I needed more time to work with it, like with long beads of glue.
