Pretty sure it's been done before but the ft flyer with its flat plate airfoil relies on angle of attack for lift.
Changing to an actual airfoil will probably change flying characteristics quite a bit.
My reccommendation would be to just build a bloody wonder with a light setup instead. It's still a very easy build and lots of fun to fly.
Of course I'll have to admit I prefer bank-n-yank over rudder/elevator on a three channel plane, so my opinion isn't quite neutral.
