Maidened my HK Vampire today but I glued the tail booms right to the wings . I find out after a mid-air structural failure (failure point being the tail booms) one has to sand off the paint where the booms attach to the wings as the booms will be only glued to the paint and tear off. I was only going just slightly above half throttle. Its a bit of a crumpled mess now. I used a 2200 4S turnigy nano-tech battery 25-50C. the plane seems underpowered. gets up in the air ok but not with any authority. Not a huge deal as it is just a $129 PNF plane what can one expect I guess...
