First. Thanks to the Flitetest guys for getting me started in this. I stumbled across the website and videos while trying to figure out how to build a "drone." Now I'm ~8 weeks into flying my quadcopter, a week into FPV, and the pocket book is much lighter. Some videos on Youtube in my sig.
Definitely want an OSD with altitude and direction home now that I'm flying FPV. I have a MultiWii 328P Flight Controller w/FTDI & DSM2 Port. http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&key=8a24c98a696b4e5723db293f62190b87&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rcgroups.com%2Fforums%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D1920490%23post25380717&v=1&libId=f23c1e89-b3f7-4e84-a6c5-cee7b0c9920b&out=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hobbyking.com%2Fhobbyking%2Fstore%2F__35682__MultiWii_328P_Flight_Controller_w_FTDI_DSM2_Port_USA_Warehouse_.html&title=OSD%20and%20GPS%20for%20Multiwii%20328p%20board%20-%20RC%20Groups&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hobbyking.com%2Fhobbyking%2Fs...arehouse_.html&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13722783808576
I'm not sure what kind of OSD works. Does the OSD read instruments from the flight controller or do they have their own? My first RC flight of any kind was a few weeks ago so I'm really a newb.
Not opposed to just buying a different controller with everything built in and reusing this board for a scratch build.
Thanks
