quad not responding at all to AIL or ELE - RX, TX, Cleanflight all show OK

I'm stumped. receiver tab in cleanflight shows correct movement of both ail and ele. directions and endpoints good. Verified AETR on set on FC and TX. re-bound RX to TX. Never seen this before? Throttle and yaw are fine.

Basically everything seems fine until you go to fly (or spin motors with props off) and there is zero reaction on the quad to any aileron or elevator inputs. Also re-calibrated TX

nada? I have set align_board_yaw = 180 because the FC is in fact mounted backwards.

"idle" CPU usage via cleanflight shows 20-22%. Baro disabled to save 2-3% CPU

EDIT: Also, I don't think it matters, but I swapped the Taranis gimbals out for spectrum dx6i's - the taranis and cleanflight are reporting correct stick movement; and throttle + yaw are working anyway.

Very strange problem... Everything in your CLI dump looks okay to me, and if cleanflight is showing the stick movements it should work. You can hover and pirouette?

Yup, it pirouettes. yaw and throttle seem okay (as do and all other channels, using around 13 or so).
 
only thing I can muster up right now, is luxfloat PID controller never would arm for me in the past. After updating my naze32 rev6 to the above dump, the default PID controller is luxfloat. I havent tried multiwii 2.3 rewrite or whatever it's called..

also disabled accelerometer to rule that out but same results
 
okayyyyy....switching to PID controllers MW 2.3 or MW re-write result in 400-700% CPU in cleanflight. I know thanks to Josh Bardwell's YouTube channel that idle should be around 25%, and the naze wont arm if CPU is too high.

Only PID controller that can do that is LuxFloat (and that's at 26-28% unless I disabled all goodies: acc, baro, mag, telemetry, vbat, vcurrent etc) and then I get get idle down to 10%-ish. Still no ail/ele. Throttle and yaw still good. the big one was acc_hardware, which was using 8-10% CPU just sitting on my desk...the rest were 2-3% each.

Right now I have 2 options on my mind: swap FC for a CC3D running CF I have on-hand, or rollback current rev6 board to an older build...??. think I'm going to try a previous build first...(advise against if I shouldn't)

I also have a KK 2.x FC here. For its purported "basic" abilities compared to other FC's - it's still been the most reliable! Was looking at F3 /F4 fc's on amazon at work too...but would like to get my naze32 rev 6 working !

doing a full chip erase flash to 1.14.0 (was on 1.14.1) - will re-config from scratch

okay, flashed back to 1.14.0, reconfigured everything and regained my right stick :).

Not sure what was whaddap.

edit: of note, switching to either multiwii PID controller results in 700% CPU idle still

this happened again

Now I'm running BetaFlight/NAZE 3.0.1 - all hardware is the same (except i flashed blheli to my ESC's). It flew great, cold temps sent me home to warm up and charge batteries, went out again and now my quad is not responding to any right stick commands!

TX/Betaflight/Blackbox all acknowledge the inputs - but the quad doesn't respond to them. I even captured this with blackbox ..sure enough you can see my right stick being moved around yet the motors do nothing. Throttle and yaw however work fine. Guess i'll have to reflash my naze32, but isn't this strange? Happened with CF and BF

Me thinks that min / max was not set to 1000 and 2000 respectively yet you give it minimum commands below the 1100 -1900 range to work with. That there MIGHT be confusing your quad which in turn locks out any axis not in that check range?

Hmm, if I understand min/max check correctly, it's saying "only look for stick input values within this range"? If so, pitch and roll would've been centered at 1500, even with messed up range end points, no? Perhaps I don't fully understand it.

Since you did mention this though; I had done several ESC calibrations (some in bheli suite, some in beta flight - but my last calibration right before flight was always with betaflight so the FC and ESC's could sync up.) I also tried changing from PWM/oneshot125 and also separate PWM input (this is de-synced I believe?) but they all had the same problem. I re-calibrated the ESC's after changing modes, first blheli, checked to make sure they were reading even, then re-calibrated in beta flight prior to take off.

The low dampening mode is pretty impressive; as far as bench testing goes anyway. It did seem to force me to raise my min throttle though, or else the motors started to have a sorta-cogging sound, but not exactly. Maybe that's normal. Prior, I was using 1035-1045. Anyway, maybe this ESC thing is a tangent in the wrong direction, so I'll leave it to ponder. I'm posting the CLI dump here to make it easier to read instead of having it in the zip file:
