Canadian Drone Regulations

There are a lot of new laws restricting the use of model aircraft in Canada. I usually just fly UMX planes in my local park, until I realised my park was within 9KM of a helipad. Are there any possible exemptions (Keep in mind I'm under 18)? What really are the rules?

Also, what in the world does this mean?
"This exemption applies to any person conducting UAV system operations within Canadian Domestic Airspace utilizing a UAV with a maximum take-off weight exceeding 2kgs but not exceeding 25kgs"
Does this mean that underpowered 50g aircraft can't fly in my backyard?

I use all my skills as a computer programmer to read laws. Also, I don't live in Canada and so have never read your laws. I'm just saying "It's not easy." It really help to get an IMPARTIAL assessment.

I'm not aware of any new rules, as long as you follow the maac rules you should be fine.
