Hey everybody. I'm building the FT Flyer and I think I went a bit overpowered on the ESC and Motor, but it's already been purchased.
Here's what I got:
A2212 1400KV 10T brushless outrunner motor
KV: 1400 10T
Max. efficiency: 80%
Max. efficiency current: 4-10A (>75%)
Current capacity: 12A/60s
No Load current @ 10V: 0.5A
No. of cells: 2-3 Li-Poly
30 AMP Brushless motor
Power Input: 7-12.6V(2-3S Li-Poly, or 5-12S Ni-MH Ni-MH/Ni-Cd)
BEC: 2A
Continuous Current: 30A(40A for 10 seconds)
with all this being said, I had some questions.
1) does the continuous current speed mean that's how much it takes out of the battery? So if I had a 1000 amp battery, divided that by 1000, x0.8, so thats 0.8A capacity, dividing by the 30 amp continuous speed, and multiplying it by 60.... it's only around 1.5 minutes? Am I doing something wrong?
2) What battery would work with this? The FT Flyer is a light plane and I was considering this https://www.motionrc.com/products/a...xt60-connector-epr10003x6?variant=41779973772
hoping its all compatible. I have so many questions and EVERY bit of advice is appreciated.
