Dynamite passport ultra charger

Ive had this charger since I used to race 1/8th scale buggy and truggy several years ago, and it still works good, but i lost the cables to be able to use a car/truck battery to charge my lipos at the field or park or wherever i go. Anybody have an alternative to these cables? Cant find them online anywhere.

Can you upload a picture of the sockets where you connect that cable? Usually it's just banana plugs or an XT60 or similar. You should be able to solder one yourself then.

They appear to have unusual connectors so you may have a hard time finding them for less.

I can not remember what those connectors are called, but I think I have a few of them here some place..possibly..maybe. If I can find them I can just send you some. Radio Shack might have them also, you can make that cable for just a couple $s instead of spending $20.

This is my charger. Its the older style dynamite passport ultra.

Easy fix, steal an removable power cord from anything like an old electric fan, etc. that unplugs from the unit, cut the wall plug off the end and add alligator clips to that end, trim the plastic around the part that connects to the fan or whatever with a knife so it fits in that slot..done deal.

its a little hard to see by possibly one of these... iec 60320-c7 polarized

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60320 C7/C8 says 8.6mm pin spacing - polarized version is shown in the notes "not part of the standard" Seems the square side is generally common/-ve and the round side +ve but you should check since that is normal but not standard...yikes!

If it's right, here's a 15ft one if you don't have a handy dead appliance.

You can probably use a round one but you would need to take care using it.

maybe harvest some croc clips from something like this...

I have yet to run into a polarity issue but I think I was a bit hasty and didn't give much thought to the squared slot and I sure don't want you to ruin your charger because of my "quick fix", so yes as mentioned use care and marking +/- to the proper connection is good.

With that said I guess figuring out if the squared side is in fact common is the next issue, and I wonder if you took those two screws loose if a person could get behind the plug on your charger and see if there is any color to the wires.
