elec engine size question

hi again how do I determine what size motor to use..my foam home made plane @ 2-3 pounds..a chart shows lbs/watts but all I see on motors is '"sample" radial-2212-1050kv-..cant seem to find out what the watts are for the sample motor ??.thanks Charles..)..

Watts = Amps x Volts
The motor you mentioned will be good for 1.5 to 2 pounds, not a lot more. I would want something larger if my plane was approach 3 pounds.

A lot will depend on how you want to fly. My 3D planes all up weight is 28-30 Oz. I like 550-600 watts on them. They could fly with less watts, just not in the way I want to fly them.
