finding a prop

when looking at props I was looking at an 8x4 pops and they were like four listings and the last one had too much amps and watts for my motor but the other listings were with in the amps and watts of my motor could I buy it or would the prop be too much for my motor to handle. Or does this just represent the range of amps and watts the prop can handle.

motor i am running is a suppo 2208/12 1800kv and a suppo 40a brushless esc.

It does depend on how many cells (ie the voltage) you have in your battery but this chart suggests you should only use an 8x4 with this motor with a 2s Lipo.
With a 3s LiPo even a 7x4 takes the current close to the motors maximum rating.
