flip video

Can anyone tell me if i can use the flip video for fpv or is it just for video recording? If anyone uses it how good is it. I have 2 of them that I got for free and they work great I wanted to see if it was fpvable. I post this on rc group with no real answer thank you Fishmanpuffer

Are you talking about the mobile sized cameras you hold vertically? The ones with the display and a big red button on the back?

As far as I know they don't do live video out.

Sorry what do you mean by live video out. There a port to plug it in a TV or is that not the same

Last year I did a significant amount of investigation into the possibility of using my Flip as a HD webcam.

The end result was that there is no option for live video out from the Flip.

So no, you can't use it for FPV. Only recording / playback

Live video out means that you have a port where you get the picture the camera sensor sees. You need that to stream it to your goggles / monitor.

The Flip can only record and playback later. There is no such live video output you could use for FPV.
