@telnar1236 was talking about his F-106 he is developing explaining what happens using software.
I wanted to design a plane that doesn't exist that would takeoff, move the swing wings aft to race to the site, then move to forward swept wings to loiterer on site then attack if necessary. No one has develop it and the only answer anyone gave for RC was to move a battery forward or aft.
So did my paper research and then built a model using a 5 bladed 64mm EDF.
There is my high alpha as predicted. Okay , it needs a canard. Added it. Used a short distances for what I am going to do.
Next had to play with the CG. I made many runs pushing from an aft CG to a nose heavy CG keeping all data for each flight.
Like that stall at 2:36 above. Two things I found out that are variables is the position of the canard and the swing forward angle and design. For the canard, the location from the leading edge as well if there is any vertical distance should be reviewed. So rather than re-inventing the plane, took my Tomcat and laid out my design.
I decided that I wanted the throttle position to control movement of the wing for perpendicular(fixed takeoff and land), aft (move wing back to 45 degrees) and then( -33 degrees) for a forward swept wing. The way to do that is put the transmitter in heli mode and it acts like cyclic pitch of blades. If anybody needs help on programming it, ask and will do separate forum. I used two heady duty servos to rotate the wing in flight. My main concern was with twisting and bending.
Now, to build the plane, after using trusty slide rule, pick my set up for CG movement(minimum) to see if it will stay in flight as it moves back 45 degrees to a forward position of -33 degrees while in flight.
So, you now have seen a plane that can morph the wings in flight in the RC world, over ten years ago, I fly it once in a great while since it tends to strip the servos setup. So you can design from Telnar1236 approach or from a balance of force method like I did. Using other site to prove a full flight did take place
Jump to see videos and stalling with FSW and see what I couldn't do with another variation. Can't win on all of them.

Morphing a Wing in Flight.
When you evaluate swinging a wing from aft(Tomcat) to the X-29(forward swept wing) in flight, the most common answer is you have to use a moving battery. Since it doesn't exist, I chose to evaluate it and came up with an alternative which solved the problem of the shifting CG. About 11 years...
