Free Foamie Plans

I have taken an interest in models designed by a German modeler, Thomas Buchwald. The orange and white Jupiter Duck is one of his designs that I built. And the green and black model on floats is his Jupiter Jr. There are many plans that can be downloaded for free from FlugModell Magazine. Look under the Downloads tab at the top of the screen for more free model plans. The link will take you to plans for the Jupiter Jr, the one on floats in the picture, which is a biplane built from foam. Problem is they are in German. But I discovered that with many PDF files you can simply copy the words or phrase, then paste it into translate.google.com. By default it automatically detects the language. And of course you probably don’t need to translate every word on a set of plans. Just the important ones like the example shown. Aerofred is another good source for free plans. They have a list of plans for foam models. Plus they offer a printing service. I purchased a set of plans and had them enlarged while I was at it. Excellent quality print but a bit expensive. About $27 US for the Hots plan shown. Save some cash.
